Cadet school teacher accused of terrorism
On April 3, the Kuzminsky District Court of the capital arrested the head teacher of a Moscow cadet school, who was charged with participation in a terrorist organization. It is reported by TASS.
Boris Vershinin, the senior educator of the Romanov School, is accused of being a member of the banned Minin and Pozharsky People's Militia (NOMP) movement.
The militia was created by former GRU colonel Vladimir Kvachkov in February 2008. By the decision of the Moscow City Court dated February 18, 2015, it was included in the federal list of organizations recognized as terrorist. Kvachkov himself was sentenced in February 2013 to 13 years in a strict regime colony on charges of assisting terrorist activities (part 1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code) and attempted armed rebellion (under part 3 of article 30 of article 279 of the Criminal Code). On August 18, 2017, he was added another year and a half in prison on charges of inciting hatred for a video he recorded in IK-5 in Mordovia.
