
On Thursday, the United States intends to include a group of Russian oligarchs in the sanctions list, including those close to Vladimir Putin and related to the Russian government. It is reported by Reuters.
Sanctions are introduced for Moscow’s intervention in the 2016 American presidential campaign. As noted, the preparing measure is the most sharp compared to those who have been accepted against large Russian businessmen so far.
The last time the US sanctions list was replenished on March 15 - also in connection with Russia's intervention in the elections. Then 5 legal entities and 19 people included it, including the St. Petersburg "Internet research agency", also known as the "Troll factory" and two GRU agents.
Although this decision was the toughest of among the presidential administration, Donald Trump, who were adopted against Russia, members of Congress from both parties criticized the White House for not included oligarchs and officials close to Putin.
