The head of the RSPP Shokhin called for the Magomedov brothers from the pre -trial detention center so as not to scare other entrepreneurs

The chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin stood up for the brothers Ziyavudin and Magomed Magomedov, arrested on charges of organizing a criminal community and theft of budget funds in the amount of 2.5 billion rubles. He called for the use of "more acceptable forms of suppression before the court" in relation to businessmen than the detention in jail .

"We are ready in case of request to support this kind of petition. If a decision is made on a different extent, in my opinion it will be correct," said Shokhin (quote for RBC ).

The publication notes that the head of the RSPP made such a statement before the meeting of the State Council in the Kremlin, which is held on April 5, President Vladimir Putin.

Shokhin noted that the "Magomedov case", of course, "resonance event" and "there have been no such things for a long time." At the same time, he added that the practice of arresting entrepreneurs for economic crimes before the court causes a "certain caution and concern" in the business community.

“Of course, coupled with other circumstances, such as geopolitics in particular, [this] of course, it makes it possible to look with confidence in tomorrow to many entrepreneurs,” said Shokhin.

The case of the creation of an organized criminal community in relation to the owner of the Summer group Ziyavudin Magomedov, his older brother, ex -speaker from the Smolensk region Magomed Magomedov, and the heads of the Intex construction company Arthur Maksidov were excited on the eve of their detention in Moscow. At the same time, individual episodes of fraud and embezzlement, in which the defendants in this case are suspected, have been investigated since December 2014. On March 31, the Tver court of Moscow arrested all three defendants until May 30. They were placed in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center.
