Activists from Sobchak's headquarters were fined for writing in the snow

The Central City Court of Tyumen fined four Sobchak campaign activists and Open Russia Human Rights lawyer Mikhail Uvarov for writing “Against Putin” in the snow. This is reported by the human rights project itself.

As the organization emphasizes, fines in the amount of 10 thousand rubles were issued to all five defendants in the case under the article on violation of the procedure for holding public events (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Lawyer Uvarov, who represented the interests of the entire group in court, considers this decision doubtful and insists that since the activists did not have a picketing object, as well as visual means of agitation (the snowy surface does not apply to them), there was no corpus delicti alleged by the named article.

The inscription itself was painted by activists on the night of March 8 under the "Bridge of Lovers" in the city center. Almost immediately, all five protesters were detained by the security forces and taken to police station No. 6 in the city of Tyumen.
