Vladimir Mashkov became the artistic director

Today, April 6, the troupe of the Moscow Theater-Studio "Tabakerka", created by Oleg Tabakov, was presented by the new artistic director of the theater, actor and director Vladimir Mashkov.

According to RIA Novosti , Vladimir Mashkov was presented to the troupe, deputy mayor of Moscow Leonid Pechatnikov and the head of the Moscow Culture Department Alexander Kibovsky.

Vladimir Mashkov (b. 1963) graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (Oleg Tabakov Course), starred in dozens of films, including Limita, Limit, Oligarch, Building, American Daughter, Crew, Award Movement, Nick and Golden Eagle Prizes.

As a theater director, he staged on the scene of “Snufflers” the performances “Star Hour of Local Time”, “Passion for Bumbarash” and “Deadly Room”, on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov - the performance "No. 13", in the Satyrikon Theater - the play "Trekhgroshovaya Opera".

The Moscow Theater Studio "Tabakerka" was founded in 1987 by Oleg Tabakov , who led him for more than thirty years. Oleg Tabakov died on March 12, 2018.

PS Vladimir Mashkov commented on his appointment to reporters. “This is really a huge responsibility. I am not worried because it is my life. I feel an extreme degree of composure. Excitement is great for any actor, but as my great teacher Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov taught me, it should be done, ” RIA Novosti quotes Mashkova.

The new artistic director of Tabakerka added that he would continue the Stanislavsky case and will lead the theater according to the traditions that Tabakov laid down.
