The Palekh District Court of the Ivanovo Region sentenced local resident Elena Gorkavaya to 3.5 years in a penal colony for making comments on the Internet. This was reported by the information and analytical center "Sova".

According to Sova, the court found the girl guilty under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity). Earlier it was reported that Gorkavaya was accused under two articles - in addition to the 282nd, part 2 of article 280 (public calls for extremist activity) was also mentioned.

According to the investigation, under the news about the increase in the number of extremist crimes in the Ivanovo region, Gorkavaya posted “statements aimed at inciting hatred and enmity ... as well as a call for violent actions (extermination, destruction, murder) against a group of people identified on a national basis” .

Now the girl is in a penal colony, where she is serving her previous sentence: she was sentenced to 1 year and 9 months in prison for, according to investigators, false calls about the threat of a terrorist attack.
