Actress Anzhelika Volchkova has died
On the night of April 8, Honored Artist of Russia, leading actress of the School of Modern Play, Anzhelika Volchkova, died in Moscow.
As reported on the theater's website, the actress died at the age of 48 after a serious illness. Farewell to Volchkova will take place on April 10 at the School of Modern Play. According to the decision of her relatives, the actress will be buried in her homeland in Penza.
On April 11, the play “Overcoat/Overcoat” based on Gogol will be shown on the stage of the “School of Modern Play”. We dedicated this performance to the memory of People's Artist of the Russian Federation Albert Filozov, who left this world on April 11, 2016. And we also dedicate it to Angelica Volchkova, who played the main female role in this performance. This was her last role.
