In Samara, a building next to an entertainment center caught fire

Update . The fire was extinguished at 20:23 local time (19:23 Moscow time), Interfax reports. According to preliminary data, careless handling of fire could be the cause of the fire.

In Samara, a two-story building caught fire next to the Zvezda cultural and entertainment center, the local Samru newspaper reports.

There is no information about the victims yet, Interfax writes with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Samara region. The threat of fire spreading to the Zvezda entertainment center was avoided; 25 visitors were evacuated from the center.

The fire was reported at 18:05 local time (17:05 Moscow time). The roof of the building is on fire; the fire area is 200 square meters. 64 people and 22 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the building in which the fire occurred is closed for reconstruction. Now it is being renovated to open a rock and roll museum, KP-Samara writes , citing a source. According to the newspaper, the building used to house a bowling alley, a betting shop, a cinema and a bar.
