Ingush oppositionist's arrest extended for two months

The Magassky District Court of Ingushetia extended the arrest of oppositionist Magomed Khazbiev for two months, accused of illegal possession of weapons and insulting a government official. Andrey Sabinin, a lawyer for the International Human Rights Group Agora, reports this.

“Today, Magomed Khazbiev asked for personal participation in the court session, and not through video conferencing (VKS). The judge refused him, then he got up and left the office with the VKS. The judge had to announce a break, contact the pre-trial detention center to ensure the appearance of Khazbiev. As a result, he returned to the room with the VKS and demanded a second time for personal participation. Again got rejected. After that, Ibriyev's lawyer challenged the judge.
