
The ruble exchange rate against the backdrop of US sanctions against Russian oligarchs continued to fall sharply on Tuesday. It is reported by RBC.
On the Moscow Exchange, in less than an hour after the opening of the auction, the euro went up by more than 3 rubles - its course exceeded 78 rubles. The last time this value was fixed two years ago - April 6, 2016.
Compared to Monday, the dollar added more than 2 and a half rubles in price. For the first time since December 2016, its cost exceeded 63 rubles.
Soon, the growth of the euro and the dollar stopped, but after a few minutes the currency went up again. The euro exceeded 78.6 rubles, and the dollar rate approached the 64-ruble mark.
By 11:10 Moscow time, the values have somewhat decreased. The euro amounted to 78.21, and the dollar rate was 63.5 rubles.
The Central Bank increased the official euro exchange rate by almost 5 rubles at once (from 71.88 to 76.85 rubles), and the dollar by almost 4 (from 58.57 to 62.37 rubles).
