The jury delivered a guilty verdict in the case of the "Primorsky partisans", which is being considered for the third time in the Primorsky Regional Court in Vladivostok.
The jury considered the involvement of the defendants in the murder of four residents of Primorye in September 2009 proven. At the same time, the jury considered that all five defendants deserve leniency, Interfax reports .
The term of punishment for the defendants will be determined by the court.
The third consideration of the criminal case began in June 2017. The Primorsky Regional Court is reviewing the episode with the robbery and murder of four people in the fall of 2009. Alexander Kovtun, Vladimir Ilyutikov, Maxim Kirillov, Alexei Nikitin, Vadim Kovtun are in the dock, reminds the agency.
In the summer of 2016, at the second trial, the jury acquitted the defendants. The Primorye Prosecutor's Office appealed the verdict. At the end of 2016, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation sent the case for a new, third, consideration.
The first jury trial in this case lasted from January 2013 to April 2014. Then the Primorsky Regional Court found the defendants guilty of killing several people, including two policemen, theft, robbery and a number of other crimes.
The defendants were sentenced to various terms - from 22 years in prison to life imprisonment. In the spring of 2015, they appealed the verdict. The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation mitigated the punishment for all the defendants, and also returned for reconsideration the episode with the robbery and the murder of four people.
