Dear editors!
The onset of April 2018 is a significant event for both members of the editorial board of the newspaper Trinity - Science, and for us, its readers: the first issue of my beloved newspaper was released ten years ago! With what I am all of us, dear colleagues, and congratulations! Separately, I want to thank the editor -in -chief, Boris Evgenievich Stern, for the fact that it occurred to him to begin to release a paper newspaper at a time when the printing industry began to take its positions and move online. The ability to go their own way, without chasing a fashion, so to speak, is not a general expression - this is what distinguishes the chief editor and the whole newspaper. Keep it up!
Frankly, I met my favorite newspaper from the first number, but almost immediately. Already in the third issue, my first letter appeared, in which I told readers about how to eat in an inexpensively in the buffet of my native university. Since then, I made it a rule to write letters to the editor, sowing reasonable, kind, eternal and politically correct. And now ten years have passed ... Ten years with the right to correspond - this, you know, is a rather serious time! Which makes you think and look back. I will not say that at the very beginning I treated my letters not serious, but, of course, in 2008 I could not know that I would have such a long epistolary romance with my beloved newspaper, and my educational mission would be so significant and fateful.
Must explain his words. Sometimes some colleagues and comrades ask me: Ivan, you are a real patriot and citizen, why do you continue to write in this vile liberal newspaper?!
I will not hide this kind of questions, cause me mental pain. Yes, colleagues, yes, I see everything: I not only write to the Trinity Option, but sometimes I read it. And, I must admit, there are very, very different ideologically different materials. However, you need to understand in which environment we all live.
“Trinity option is science” is a newspaper for all kinds of intelligentsia, primarily for education and science workers. And our Russian and Soviet intelligentsia is a very, very specific class. A significant part of it was used to considering the opposition attitude towards power, at least at the level of a deeply hidden fig in your pocket.
And the awareness of the fundamental opposition of the authorities, so to speak, is considered an almost the main sign: if you love power, if, even worse, you express this love out loud, for them you are not an intellectual, but a “quilted jacket”. This is, alas, the genetic defect of our intelligentsia.
At the same time, the same people sincerely believe that the authorities should not reciprocate - on the contrary, the authorities, in their opinion, should provide them with a comfortable existence, provide the opportunity to travel through foreign countries, meekly demolish all the reproaches, in general, to behave with the intelligentsia as a spoiled, but beloved child.
You must admit that it is very difficult to deal with this kind of public: she looks at all the reasonable actions of the country's leadership, putting on black glasses, and she meets the streams of liberal dick to attempts at a calm dialogue. But it is still necessary to work with her, and not from the pages of the media, which are already oriented towards patriots, but from the pages of publications that do not cause a gag reflex. Work calmly, thoughtfully, not counting on a quick result and, moreover, realizing that only the grave will correct many hunchbacked.
I have been doing this work for ten years: I have been explaining the correctness and significance of the party’s policy, I teach my colleagues to the idea that you may not be a scientist, but is obliged to be a citizen. I try to educate the patriotically thinking intelligentsia. And, I must say, I have a similar work not successfully: for sure hundreds of readers of my favorite newspaper passed the standard stages from the denial of my thoughts expressed to their adoption.
I will not hide, sometimes I myself re -read my letters and am amazed at how they were faithful and topical at the time of writing and, moreover, in many ways retained their relevance now. Therefore, I begin to think in order to collect them and publish them in the form of a book that every intellectual intellectual from the native spots of opposition from among teachers and scientists could put on his book regiment. And there will be such, I have no doubt, the further, the more!
