A screen adaptation of an old computer game. The mighty and funny Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays a zoologist who falls in love with a gorilla named George, who was subjected to genetic experiments, as a result of which he grew to the size of King Kong and began to destroy large American cities. The largest release of the week - 1000 screens (A Quiet Place - 800).

“Saddle of Turkey”, Russia, director Yusup Razykov

Last year's hit of Kinotavr is a modest film about a former KGB agent, shot in a few days with a very small budget, who doesn't know why he lives until he hears the magical voice of his neighbor, an opera singer. The KGB agent is played brilliantly by Valery Maslov. But the best thing about this 76-minute film is the ending, wonderful, unexpected, discouraging.

"The Good Teacher 3" (Fack ju Gohte 3), Germany, directed by Bora Dagtekin

The third part of a German school comedy, the original title of which insults the main national writer. The class in which the main character teaches consists, as the annotation says, of the most difficult teenagers in Germany.

The only thing that helps them cope with them is the criminal past of the teacher, whose name (appreciate the coincidence) is Zek.

"Mary Magdalene", UK, USA, directed by Garth Davis

Rooney Mara's feminist take on the story of Christ's faithful companion was quietly released last week and was a hopeless failure at the worldwide box office. The few women who saw the film were offended by the fact that Joaquin Phoenix, who played Christ, is terribly fat.
