A court in Moscow extended the arrest of three supporters of Vyacheslav Maltsev

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of supporters of the Artpodgotovka movement Oleg Dmitriev, Oleg Ivanov and Sergei Ozerov until June 16. This was reported by the Moscow City News Agency with reference to the press secretary of the court.

Dmitriev, Ivanov and Ozerovwere detained on November 1 in an apartment in New Moscow. They were accused of preparing a terrorist attack (Part 2 of Article 205 using Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code), the agency writes, as well as of participating in a terrorist community (Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code). At the same time, the information on the cases of activists on the official portal of the Moscow courts indicates paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 (committing a terrorist attack by an organized group) without applying Article 30 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a crime).

The “Artpodgotovka” movement on October 26 was recognized as extremist. After this, supporters of the movement began to be actively persecuted .

The leader of the movement, Vyacheslav Maltsev, called on his supporters on November 5, 2017 to go to city centers and stand there until President Vladimir Putin resigns. More than 400 people were detained that day. In total, at least nine criminal cases have been initiated in connection with the protest.
