Searches are being carried out in Volokolamsk for those associated with actions against the landfill

Lawyer Denis Kunaev writes on Twitter that in Volokolamsk searches were carried out in the apartment of Artem Lyubimov, a participant in the movement against the Yadrovo landfill, at his defender Yulia Kulikova, at the editorial office of the Volokolamsk Week newspaper, which covered the protests, and at the Moscow Raceway autodrome, owned by businessman Rustem Teregulov.

According to the lawyer, police conduct searches without court approval.

The editorial office of Volokolamsk Week is being searched by employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region, Interfax reports with reference to the editor-in-chief of the publication Maria Murashova.

“They showed me a document that a criminal case had been opened against a number of limited liability companies, about ten names, unknown to me. And they are looking, as they explained to me, for the affiliation of our newspaper with these legal entities,” Murashova clarified. According to her, she noted that documents and employee computers are being inspected.

• On April 1, Artem Lyubimov went on a hunger strike after he was detained on his way to a rally in Volokolamsk. Lyubimov was arrested for 15 days for allegedly disobeying the demands of a police officer.
• Earlier, two participants in the rally against the Yadrovo landfill in Volokolamsk were searched at work: Ramazan Bayramov in the office and on the territory of the car wash he owns, and in the store of the arrested activist Andrei Zhdanov .
