The state ends with money - private companies begin to engage in the creation of a new infrastructure in the Arctic
The 707-kilometer northern latitudinal move will connect the Russian Urals and Western Siberia with the northern sea route and prepare the ground for additional volumes of cargo transportation in the waters of the Arctic.
He will connect two key existing railways - the northern railway from Arkhangelsk and the Nadym - Tyumen branch. In addition, at the northern tip of the Yamal peninsula, a 170-kilometer branch of Bovanenkovo-Sabetta will appear.
Moscow claims that public-private partnership will be the answer. At the disposal of the Government, signed in February, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, states that the Northern Lesson move will be built on the basis of a concession agreement, which will give the investor the exclusive right to use in exchange for construction and maintenance costs.
The key element of the transaction is Gazprom. In March 2017, a company with significant reserves of natural gas in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and around it signed an agreement on cooperation on the creation of a northern latitudinal move with Russian railways. Gazprom is already operating a 525-kilometer railway between the Bovanenkovo and Obsk stations, which is a key element of infrastructure for the development of large natural gas deposits on Yamal.
There are other interested parties. According to the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin, the district is ready to cover the lion's share of expenses associated with the construction of the planned 40-kilometer bridge across the Ob.
This is a long -awaited project for the Russian authorities. But its value is far exceeded the possibilities of experiencing more and more difficulties in the state budget. According to estimates, investments in the project will amount to 236 billion rubles. (3 billion euros).
Kobylkin confirmed that the builders will go north in 2019 and begin to build a bridge. They will go there immediately from the Crimea, where they are now busy building a bridge across the Kerch Strait, he told the North-Press Regional News Agency.
