The animal sailed to the city along with ice from Lake Ladoga

A baby seal was spotted in the Fontanka River, next to the BDT building, the Friends of the Baltic Seal Foundation said.

The Foundation’s specialists added that ice is now flowing down the Neva from Lake Ladoga, along with which seals are swimming into the city. Please report seals on the embankments by calling 699-23-99.
