What media supported Telegram

Russian media reacted to the court decision to block the Telegram messenger. Many of them publish information about the methods of bypassing the blocking. But there are those who hastened to send subscribers to Tamtam and hastily deleted anti -lock instructions.

The decision to block did not force well-known media to abandon their Telegram channels. On the contrary, some of them distributed links to materials on how to continue to use the service.

At the same time, at least seven media as an alternative to Telegram were recommended to subscribe to their channels in the Tamitam messenger, which belongs to Mail.ru Group and is functionally a copy of Telegram. The Tamtam himself on the day of the court placed advertising in printed versions of the newspapers "Kommersant" and "Vedomosti".

The Vesti.ru website (belongs to VGTRK) in social networks spoke about its channel in Tamtam. At the same time, at 9 a.m. Moscow time, he published instructions on how to get around the blocking: from bots and settings in Telegram to the Tor browser. However, by 15 o’clock the material on the site was no longer: only an overview of alternative messengers was preserved.

In 2017, the Russia 24 TV channel (also VGTRK) on its air spoke about the methods of bypassing blocking in connection with the ban on VKontakte in Ukraine.
