The UN Security Council rejected the Russian resolution on Syria
The UN Security Council rejected a Russian draft resolution condemning the missile attack on Syria and demanding an end to the aggression against the Arab country.
At an emergency meeting of the Security Council, convened on Saturday at the initiative of the Russian side, Russia, China and Bolivia voted for the draft resolution. Eight members of the Security Council voted against and four abstained.
“Today is a sad day for the world. I would like to believe that we will not see a day worse than this, ”Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, said following the results of the vote.
