According to Ermakov, in Syria, the Americans did not pursue specific military goals: "Figuratively speaking, the Americans showed a platform, an empty field, put a target there and said that it was possible to stern here. So it happened."

At an emergency Saturday meeting of the UN Security Council, Russia demanded to condemn the Syrian operation of the United States, Britain and France, but the draft resolution was not supported.
