Representatives of about 60 companies turned to Agora lawyers for help due to blocking

Representatives of about 60 companies turned to the lawyers of the international human rights group "Agora" for legal assistance in connection with the massive blocking of IP addresses. This was reported to Meduza by lawyer Damir Gainutdinov.

According to him, “owners of small businesses — online stores, delivery services, proxy servers” who “suffered by accident, for the company” asked for help.

“Everyone has a question: we were unexpectedly blocked, WHAT TO DO?!” the lawyer said.

• On April 17, Agora opened a hotline for website and service owners who encountered technical problems due to the blocking of millions of IP addresses by Roskomnadzor.
• The blocking is connected with attempts by Roskomnadzor to restrict access to the Telegram messenger, which was included in the register of banned sites due to the refusal to transfer encryption keys from user correspondence to the FSB.
• In total, on April 16-17, Roskomnadzor blocked more than 16 million Amazon and Google IP addresses, the infrastructure of which Telegram uses to bypass blocking.
