Russian users of popular online games complained about connection problems

Users of several popular online games have complained of connection problems amid the blocking of millions of IP addresses by Amazon and Google in Russia.

Issues are reported in the official PlayerUnknownʼs Battlegrounds , Fortnite , World of Warships Blitz communities ; Issues have also been reported by users of Guild Wars 2, Splatoon 2, and the Nintendo Switch digital store. Users of EVE Online have complained that chats are not working in the game. Connection problems are discussed by users of the games Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III.

In the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds community, in particular, problems have been associated with blocking IP addresses.

In addition, users reported that the DuckDuckGo search engine (known for not tracking user activity) stopped opening in Russia, there were failures in Microsoft services, and there were interruptions in the work of the Slack corporate messenger.

The video agency Ruptly, owned by the state holding Rossiya Segodnya, reported problems with access to its website due to the blocking of the Taxamo payment service; The agency did not directly link the problems with the actions of Roskomnadzor.
