In Samara, the fan groups threatened to conduct the 2018 World Cup

Law enforcement agencies reported on the suppression of the plans of fans-extremists to disrupt the events of the World Cup in Samara. This is stated in the report of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika to the Federation Council.

“As a result of the joint actions of law enforcement agencies and prosecution bodies, extremists' plans for disrupting the events of the 2018 World Cup in Samara were suppressed, for which they planned to attract football fans - participants in the TASS association,” TASS quoted.

In 2017, at the statements of prosecutors, the court declared extremist five organizations, including the "border of the North", "Toys" and the association of "artilles".

In relation to their leaders, three criminal cases have been opened under Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in connection with the organization of the extremist community. In relation to the leader of the Toys association, the court was a conviction.

The world's first world championship will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of the country. Samara will accept six matches of the tournament.

Also, for the first time in the history of the world championships in Russia, a three -stage procedure for combating discrimination manifestations will be in effect, within which arbitrators will be able to interrupt or cancel games in cases of racist or other manifestations of intolerance.

We add that the International Football Federation (FIFA) this week was notified by the Russian Football Union (RFU) of the beginning of the investigation in connection with cries of racist nature from the stands during the control match between the national teams of Russia and France, which took place on March 27 in St. Petersburg.
