The new bill will allow bailiffs to communicate with citizens not only through paper mail

Bailiffs will be able to interact with citizens via the Internet and via SMS messages, and not just through mail. A bill on this was submitted to the State Duma by a group of deputies from the United Russia faction, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

“The adoption of the bill will simplify and make more efficient the entire system of information exchange and interaction between a citizen and a bailiff,” the authors of the bill believe. “And this will certainly help improve the efficiency of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) and the level of realization of rights and legitimate interests citizens."

If the amendments are approved, documents from the bailiff service will be sent to citizens not only by mail in paper form, but also to the personal account of the civil servants portal - subject to obtaining consent from the citizen, confirmed through the portal.

In addition, thanks to the bill, bailiffs will have the opportunity to send notifications via SMS - also after confirmation of consent. Thus, as planned by the initiators of the amendments, a citizen will have the opportunity to communicate directly with a bailiff online without queues, reception hours and a host of other encumbrances.

Electronically, it will be possible to submit petitions, applications and see the entire history of enforcement proceedings, as well as find out what actions the bailiff took in order to ensure the execution of the court decision and the practical protection of the citizen’s rights, their restoration or recovery of property and funds in his favor.
