On April 9, at a meeting of the Security Council, convened to discuss what happened, the Permanent Representative of Russia at the UN Vasily Nebenzya announced the attack by a "chemical provocation" and a staging. Russian experts, he said, arrived at the Duma immediately after its release.

Patients who were in the ambulance department and their relatives in a panic began to pour water to each other. After all this was filmed on video cameras, unknown faces quickly disappeared. These are not some kind of impersonal messages on social networks or statements of anonymous activists.
