Protocols were drawn up against those detained at the Armenian Embassy in Moscow
Three protesters against the appointment of Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister of Armenia were detained outside the Armenian embassy in Moscow this afternoon. Protocols were drawn up against them under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism). This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
On April 17, about 15 Armenian oppositionists held a protest against the appointment of Sargsyan as head of government right on the territory of the Armenian embassy. After that, access to the territory of the embassy was closed by the police.
Today, people again came to the building of the Armenian representation, wishing to express their protest. Some of them, according to the "Caucasian Knot", entered into a verbal skirmish with the soldiers guarding the embassy, after which three protesters were detained.
Harutyun Mkrtchyan, Ashot Avdalyan and Georgy Barkhudaryan were brought to the Basmanny District Court after drawing up protocols for petty hooliganism. They are due in court today.
