Pavel Chikov, the head of the International Human Rights Association of Agora, said in his Telegram channel that dozens of companies that have difficulty blocking millions of IP addresses already contacted the organization. “It is characteristic that none of the appeals is connected with Telegram. Chikov calls on the victims of related locks to appeal to the court with a claim for recognition of the actions of Roskomnadzor illegal, and if the claim refuses to satisfy the ECHR. Due to the blocking of Telegram, according to the news agency, the difficulties in the work were already reported by the Viber messenger, the website of the Classmates social network and the Radio Says Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the decision on the blocking of Telegram, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov assured journalists, the online publication Gazeta.ru reports. Peskov did not indicate in any way whether the head of state owns information on related blocks.

Political scientist Abbas Gallyamov explains the absence of appeals to the court with the fears of Russians that if they begin to defend their interests in this situation, they can be recorded in accomplices of the enemy of the state. Answering the questions of Polit.ru, he suggested that foreign citizens would still appeal to the court.

“From the part of foreigners, of course, appeals to the courts will follow, but our citizens are likely to be afraid. When domestic authorities heroically fight the enemy, they can not interfere. Anyone who at that moment takes care of their own interests, they will easily write down the enemy’s accomplice, with all the ensuing consequences for him, ”says Abbas Gallyamov.

He sees no reason to expect that the authorities will intervene in order to stop the department. “It is obvious that the actions of the RKN are agreed on the very top. Russian officials - people are very cautious and not receiving direct instructions to do anything, ”he notes.

Unfortunately, there was already a sad precedent when Roskomnadzor was able to achieve their consent in relation to the Linkedin service banned in Russia. So now you can expect any outcome.
