"A cut on the dog." "Promenade"

“Cut on the dog” is an unusual musical project of Alexander Sitnikov, one of the creators of “4 positions of Bruno” and “Bird EM” - the most original underground electronic groups of the Urals (and, possibly, to the whole of Russia). The project has already released two albums of phantasmagoric stories, which are connected in a large -scale performance, and this time it represents another story from its parallel universe - the video "Protame":

- Why did you begin to make a “cut on a dog” project? How is it connected with the “4 positions of Bruno” - or is not related at all?

Alexander Sitnikov: In 2015, Olya and I (Chernavsky. - Ed. ) We planned to make a puppet cinema, very long and large. The movie is adventure, so we wrote and recorded several songs to it, reflecting the essence of the characters and all sorts of plot vicissitudes. But we never engaged in filming or installation, so many things had to be mastered along the way, and many ideas were simply impossible to realize ourselves, without resorting to the help of strangers. So several ownerless songs appeared. And in parallel, Anton and I (Klevtsov. - Ed. ) Fronted the “Nonno Experience” album and decided that “positions” would no longer have songs. And then Olei and I decided that the songs would now be at the “cut”. And since the “cut” is more adventure and fabulous, the songs are also adventure. That is, it has always been in the songs, but here the character is often hidden behind the song and its story and there are no restrictions. Plus, Olya is an excellent co -author and accomplice in regarding the characters and their adventures, so sometimes in the plots we allow ourselves what was neither in “positions” or “bird”.

- Where did the myth come from that the “cut on the dog” is a kind of teenage criminal game in the Urals? Or is it not a myth?

Sitnikov: This is a game, quite harsh. If you do not go into details, there everything turns around the expression "heals like on a dog." Perhaps this game was invented by elders in the courtyard of the house where I lived a child. Perhaps, outside a few yards, no one knew her. Most likely, she did not take root and disappeared. I could become a classic of yard, but, you see, it is too bad, unhealthy even.

- For me, a “cut on a dog” is a hontological project. Memories of pioneerlager horror stories, Soviet radio fillings, etc. pop up. And what about you?

Sitnikov: I was always drawn to make stories, to invent plots. And since reliability and realism are not my strengths, you somehow overload everything, exaggerate, and it turns out just something theatrical or cartoon. However, I do not understand the theater. But Olya goes and generally rummages for all sorts of theatrical subtleties. Well, she is generally a button artist, because she makes dolls-and according to her sketches, and according to mine, and according to our common ones. And we use some theatrical techniques, maybe changing them a little for ourselves. But no one has seen this yet, since all this is in the process for now.

- Who made the video "Promenade"? You once talked about the intentions to turn the “cut” into a completely multimedia project-with clips and concert spectacles. “Practate” - part of the implementation of this plan?

Sitnikov: Olya and I did the promenade clip, and DJ Dyalil helped a little in the shooting. No third -party people. As for the big films-sponsor-while everything is in the process, I do not want to make any more, because you will be killed about plans, and then everything will change, the idea is mutating-a big movie will turn into two songs, for example. That is, the whole large plot will take and fit in the stories of two characters, two of some unlocked creatures. And all. Therefore, it is impossible to say for sure when the first big movie science appears. But they are very interesting to do, plus they appear songs and characters, which are more and more, and it grows and grows, everything is tied to each other, everything begins to somehow develop, and by and large it is no longer very important, it will be published or not. But, I think, it will be formalized in something that can be shown as a full-fledged story, without delving into a bunch of explanations and branches. In the meantime, now: songs and clips sometimes.

- The “cut” has two albums, when to wait for the third? When are concerts? What news does the Bruno positions have?

Sitnikov: I think the third album will be this year, in the fall or winter. Concerts will be soon: May 24 - in St. Petersburg, May 25 - in Moscow, May 26 - in Nizhny Novgorod. The "positions" of the news has no news; Six months ago, the album “Time-Minute” was released-this is the last important news. There are plans, but I do not want to talk about them, again, so as not to grind.
