“Thank you for nothing” to veterans

The youth campaign “I’m going to the veteran” has started in Cheboksary, this was reported on the website “Victory Day in Cheboksary”, organized by the Creative City Autonomous Establishment of the municipality of the city of Cheboksary.

Attached to the news is a photograph with a comment from a student from the Cheboksary College of Food Technology and Commerce: “I was pleased to help my grandmother. She lives alone, and it’s hard for her to wash the floor and windows. I believe that the “Going to a Veteran” campaign is necessary, and I will continue to participate in it.”

I have an extremely negative attitude towards such one-time promotions held once a year. If you want to help, then do it regularly, and then inform them that such and such volunteers have once again come to help the war veteran with cleaning the house, etc.

However, this time I was more outraged by the photograph, in which you can see the following inscriptions on the T-shirts: FEMINIST and THANKS FOR NOTHING. The latter is nothing more than youth slang that has become popular (literal translation: thank you for nothing) - a sarcastic mockery expression when “the desired help was not provided or something was done that caused dissatisfaction.”

But there is a hidden subtext in this!
