The oligarch Evgeny Prigozhin, known as the owner of the Troll factory, the financier of the PMC Wagner, as well as the Putin’s personal cook, pays for the work of Russian political technologists in a number of African countries. It is reported by Kommersant.

The work within the framework of the project is coordinated by the political technologist Yaroslav Ignatovsky. The colleagues who were recruited to the team - mainly Petersburgers - are not authorized to comment on the media and do not advertise their work. At the same time, Kommersant notes, several political strategists have ceased activity in social networks since the end of March.

The project is designed for about two years. Work is carried out mainly in countries where presidential or parliamentary elections are planned at that time. Specifically, "Kommersant" calls three countries: Madagascar, South Africa and Kenya. At the same time, it is noted that this year the election of presidents or parliaments will be held in 14 African states (in addition to Madagascar, in particular Libya, Chad and Zimbabwe), and in the next - in six (except for South Africa, Nigeria is especially mentioned).

As for Kenya, the elections in it were held last year. However, he noticed one of the sources of the newspaper, "the situation in the countries of Africa is unstable, the elections can be appointed unexpectedly."

Formally, the tasks of Russian political technologists are monitoring the socio-political situation and sociological studies. Experts interviewed by Kommersant claim that Russians can earn their political technology export, but are unlikely to set the goal of influencing the outcome of the elections.
