The former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Sochi was suspected of producing fake payment documents

The former coordinator of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in Sochi, Konstantin Zykov, became a suspect in the case of producing counterfeit payment documents (Part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code), the activist himself told the Caucasian Knot.

In a conversation with Mediazona, headquarters employee Olesya clarified that Zykov was released on his own recognizance.

“There was an interrogation purely on the same case, they asked the same thing - only now not as a witness, but as a suspect,” said the headquarters employee.

On April 19, according to the activist, Zykov’s home was searched, after which the former headquarters coordinator was taken to the police and interrogated as a witness.

Then law enforcement officers asked the neighbor to knock on Zykov’s apartment so that “he wouldn’t immediately have any suspicions.” When Zykov opened the door, two people in civilian clothes were standing in the corridor. One of them, according to a staff member of the headquarters, had previously visited the activist in March. A law enforcement officer then beat Zykov's wife Tatyana.

The day before the presidential election, the couple was detained . The Central District Court arrested Konstantin for three days for disobeying police officers (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code), and fined Tatyana one thousand rubles under the same administrative article.
