Denis Bakholdin's case about participation in the “right sector” was returned to the prosecutor's office

On April 20, the Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow transferred the case of the capital's activist Denis Bakholdin back to the prosecutor’s office, who is accused of participating in the “right sector”. It is reported by the network edition "Sota.vision".

Judge Krutovskaya decided to return the case to the prosecutor's office, since there are violations of the law in the indictment. They interfere with the consideration of the case on the merits.

In addition, the court for four months extended the arrest of Baholdin. The lawyer of the Agora human rights group Svetlana Sidorkina, representing the interests of the activist, intends to appeal this decision. Prior to the appeal, Denis Bakholdin will be in the Moscow pre -trial detention center "Sailor Silence". Then his cases will be transferred to the Bryansk prosecutor’s office, which will decide whether to transfer the case to the investigation and to transfer the activist to Bryansk.

• Denis Bakholdin, a person known among the capital's activists, participated in monthly actions in support of political prisoners in the framework of Strategy-6, in anti-war actions against the policy of the Russian authorities against Ukraine.
• In March 2017, the police detained Denis Bakholdin. He was accused of participating in the “right sector” recognized by an extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). The activist said that after the detention, he was handcuffed for 12 hours to the battery and beat on the legs and head, demanding confession.

According to investigators, Bakholdin went to Ukraine in 2014, joined the Right Sector there and took part in its activities. * From the moment of detention beforetransferring to Moscow for a while, Bakholdin was kept in a pre -trial detention center in Bryansk. On February 15, it became known that he, as a “prone to escape”, was transferred to a special block. In addition, the activist was accused of disseminating extremist ideas among prisoners, not indicating what kind of ideas this is.
