In Kamchatka, the pensions of officials and deputies were increased by almost 2.5 times. The rest were not affected.

In Kamchatka, employees of the regional government and deputies of the Legislative Assembly immediately after the successful completion of the presidential elections actively set to work. The first promptly prepared a bill to increase pensions by almost two and a half times, the second voted for it. Pensions will increase for the governor, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly, their deputies, heads of regional ministries, committees of the regional parliament, the election commission, the Chamber of Control and Accounts, etc. Regular pensioners will not be affected by the increase.

The deputies voted for new pensions for themselves and officials on April 6, the day when the US Treasury Department imposed another batch of sanctions against Russia. The ruble began to fall, and the benefits of the Kamchatka nobility to grow. It became clear that civil servants are not in danger of a financial crisis.

The deputies so wanted to increase their pensions two and a half times that they ignored the protests of the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. The federals drew attention to the fact that the budget of Kamchatka is one of the most subsidized in the country, and additional payments will come from the regional treasury. The Ministry of Finance considered that this would lead to an increase in social tension. But the deputies received a different signal from the regional government. The explanatory note to the text of the bill stated that it was necessary to increase pensions for “certain categories of civil servants” in order to restore social guarantees - they had not been raised their salaries for a long time. The position of the majority at the session was entrusted to voice Mikhail Smagin from the Communist Party.

“The task is to ensure that each category of citizens of our Russian Federation is respected. Including government officials. And for this, along with increased requirements for their work, they need to take appropriate care of them, ”Smagin said.

However, two other representatives of the Communist Party in the Legislative Assembly (Valery Bykov and Roman Litvinov) strongly opposed the amendments and even called their adoption "shameless". Mikhail Puchkovsky from Just Russia turned out to be in solidarity with them. But these votes were drowned in a sea of ​​unanimous support for the bill from United Russia and Zhirinovites.

A few days later, unexpectedly for many, the “shamelessness” was noticed even in the general council of United Russia. His secretary, Andrey Turchak, said that in Kamchatka "regional authorities do not hear either the president or the chairman of the party." They did not hear Turchak either. Today, no one even thinks of reversing the bill, which has already been signed by Governor Vladimir Ilyukhin. The government of Kamchatka is reluctant to comment on what is happening. From official sources, only assurances were squeezed out that “these changes will not require additional funds from the regional budget” and that they will not affect those civil servants who are already retired.

At the same time, none of the officials and deputies with whom I spoke could answer the question: what kind of pension will the governor and his entourage receive now?

The former head of Kamchatka, Mikhail Mashkovtsev, helped calculate the approximate size of the new governor's pension. In an interview with the Kam 24 news agency, he said that now his pension supplement is 56,000 rubles. In accordance with the amendments to official benefits, two increasing coefficients will be applied at once: one (from 1.1 to 1.5) directly for calculating the pension, the second (from 1.3 to 1.8) for additional payment to it. In the first person of the edge, both coefficients, of course, will be maximum. It will turn out 151 thousand 200 rubles. I assume that approximately the same amount will be transferred from the budget to the retired governor, as well as to the chairman of the Legislative Assembly and their first deputies. The rest of the executives after retirement will be paid monthly within the limits of 100 thousand rubles. By the way, ordinary Kamchatka pensioners are paid about five to eight times less. But officials, apparently, in addition to additional payments, will also receive ordinary old-age pensions.

I remember how one of the leaders of Kamchatka was told during his meeting with the public that older people living in two or three-room apartments are forced to pay exorbitant money for housing and communal services. It is believed that they have excess living space, benefits to which do not apply. The head retorted: children should help pensioners. The leaders of Kamchatka probably do not rely on their children. Therefore, they set themselves salaries of 500 thousand rubles a month and pensions of 150 thousand ...
