Foreign Ministry: We do not guarantee non -interference in the US election

Moscow will not give Washington unilateral guarantees of non -interference in the American elections, said the presidential special representative for international cooperation in the field of information security Andrei Krutskiy in an interview with Kommersant.

"We will not make any unilateral statements and assurances, and even more so we do not intend to admit our guilt for certain incidents, which are allegedly involved in Russia," Krutsk said. At the same time, he assured that interference in the domestic policy of the United States is “not within the framework of national interests” of Moscow.

Earlier, the US Ambassador to Moscow John Huntsman said that Russia and the United States may return to cybersecurity negotiations if Moscow does not interfere in the November elections to Congress. According to the Krutsk, Huntsman "was mistaken in the country" if he "seriously expects some such guarantees from us."

“Without accusations against Moscow, not a single statement or the speech of a Western politician or even a businessman is not there,” the president’s representative added, recalling the recent speech of the head of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg in Congress. The founder of the social network told the congressmen about the activity of Russian trolls and the fight against it.

Russia will negotiate with the United States only about mutual guarantees of non -interference in domestic politics or "universal guarantees and rules of behavior," Krutsk emphasized. "We will not fulfill someone's ultimatical requirements and provide one -way guarantees," he added.

On April 17, Krutsk made threats at European countries at the International Information Security Forum at Garmish-Parthenkirhen. “What are we counting on? We all want to die?” Said the Russian representative. “We will not forgive a single cybube. If you want, your little pug in Europe, getting on Russian cyberclane, we will not react verbally and comment on every attack.”
