© Tangerine Dream Official / YouTubeOn May 18, the XXII International Festival of SKIF will be held on the new stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. The headliner of the festival will be the German group Tangerine Dream, which had never performed in St. Petersburg before.
Pioneers of electronic music and kraut-clock, the founders and permanent leaders of the Berlin School of Electronic Music will present the Quantum of Electronic Evolution program in St. Petersburg.
In the fall of 2017, Torsten quill (synthesizers), Ulrich Schnaus (synthesizers) and Khosiko Yaman (electric script) released the studio album “Quantum Gate” , conceived during the life of Tangerine Dream Edgar Freze. At the SKIF festival, the group will perform its classical compositions, works from the new album, as well as an impromptu set in the spirit of the “good old seventies”.
According to the SKIF website, ten groups from Russia, Germany, Norway, Italy will take part in the festival. Estonia, Poland.
For the first time in Russia, forepsycho forecasters (Norway), an electro-acoustic musician and composer Andrea Belphi (Italy), an experimental quartet T'yen Lai (Poland) and India Motors (Estonia) will perform.
Russia will be represented at the festival groups of The Grand Astoria (Petersburg), “Fiva” (Petersburg), “Palace of Substance” (St. Petersburg), Evgeny Gorbunov’s audiovisual project “Intourist” (Moscow) and other alternative projects.
