On April 19, 2018, at about 11 o’clock, I was taken out of the cell of the 5th special regime building in the Gorelovo pre-trial detention center, taken to the local police station and taken out the gate, where I was handed over to two men, one of whom I identified as an operative officer of the FSB Directorate for St. -Petersburg and Leningrad region by Konstantin Bondarev. I have known this officer since January 23, 2018, when he supervised my detention at Pulkovo airport and then, together with other FSB officers, used physical and psychological violence against me for about 30 hours, depriving me of rest, sleep and food.
When I was taken out of the local police station, one of the FSB officers who greeted me ordered me to put my hands behind my back and cuffed them very tightly. They put me in a silver Skoda car. Before getting into the car, Bondarev asked me a question:
Well, what, Filinkov? Or are you already Petushkov?
To which I replied: “What are these questions for?” Bondarev reacted in an aggressive manner with the words: “To you, you idiot!”
After that, he got behind the wheel of the car. They put me in the back seat. After some time, the car drove out of the gates of pre-trial detention center-6 . All the way to St. Petersburg, the FSB officers no longer communicated with me, but I was really afraid, believing that at any moment they could take me to a deserted place and use violence against me. In total we were on the move for about an hour. As a result, they brought me to the FSB building and took me into the office of investigator Klimov, where my lawyer Cherkasov was at that time.
I had a confidential conversation with my lawyer, during which I said that I was in a depressed state, since for a long time I was forced to ride in the same car with a negative and aggressively disposed operative towards me, Bondarev, who used criminal slang to express threats to me. that in pre-trial detention center-6 I could be raped. In addition, I explained that I recognize investigator Klimov as one of the employees who, on January 24, 2018, after my delivery to the FSB, took part in long-term psychological influence on me in order to obtain a confession. I believe that investigator Klimov saw that I was beaten and also in need of rest, sleep, water and food.
On this basis, when answering Klimov’s question whether I was ready to testify, I said that I did not refuse to testify, but at the moment I was in a stressful environment because of the meeting with Bondarev, as well as because of the meeting with investigator Klimov, to whom I also do not trust. In addition, I was taken to the FSB building, which I associate with the torture and abuse inflicted on me here on January 24 and 25, 2018. On this basis, I told the investigator that I could only give detailed and thoughtful testimony in pre-trial detention center No. 6 , where I felt more calm and protected. I wrote down these explanations in the notes on the interrogation protocol.
After this, the investigative action was completed. Investigator Klimov called for an escort, and two people in civilian clothes and masks on their heads entered the office. They handcuffed my hands behind my back, took me out of the room and took me outside. There they put me in the back seat of a silver Skoda car. At the wheel was operative Bondarev.
On the way to pre -trial detention center-6 they continued to ask me questions. For example, Bondarev asked: “Well, Petukhov, have you already picked out your ass?” Then he said:
Now I will drive you methodically, Cherkasov is making a name for himself. And you and Agora will all rot in prison! And you will be sitting in the Arctic Circle! In Murmansk, Karelia. Life taught you a lesson and then gave you a chance. Do they know in pre-trial detention center No. 6 that your lawyer LGBT people ? defends
To this, one of the operatives who were in the car responded: “Apparently, I didn’t learn my lesson.” Bondarev replied: “It didn’t come through the head, it will come through the legs.” The second operative added: “It’ll come through the ass!” After which they laughed merrily. I also remembered that one of the operatives said that “you can get married well in Gorelovo.”
With these and other phrases, Bondarev and his colleagues insulted my human dignity, caused me deep moral trauma, and led to a stressful state. In addition to the humiliation I experienced, I finally realized for myself that in the ranks of the FSB there are unworthy employees who use prison concepts for their own purposes, trying to use them to put pressure on prisoners.
Talking to me in this spirit, the FSB officers took me to the isolation ward for about two hours. We got into the car near the FSB building at 13:30, and arrived at pre-trial detention center-6 at 16:00. I kept track of the time using the clock that was in the car.
After talking with the FSB operatives, I returned to the cell in a depressed state; I was all wet from nerves, excitement and the heat in the car. My heart ached, I lost my appetite, I refused dinner, my psoriasis worsened - from stress I scratched the psoriatic plaques on my head.
I perceive Bondarev and his colleagues’ threats against me realistically and I fear for my safety, health and life itself.
