Omsk: Residents of the village offer to attach it to Kazakhstan

Residents of the village of Duvanovka in the Omsk region offer "to attach it to Kazakhstan." This was reported by the Civil Activist Sergey Maliy. At a meeting with officials from the district center, he suggested "changing the borders of Russia." The distance from Duvanovka to Kazakhstan is a little more than a kilometer. People are unhappy that local authorities do not solve their problems.

Among the claims of residents are the lack of an asphalt road to the village, store and social infrastructure. Children go to school in a neighboring village, 17 kilometers from Duvanovka. The mail works with interruptions, and emergency services, according to people, can be expected for hours.

The initiator of the accession Sergei Maliy said that he did not know whether it is possible to count on the solution of these issues in the event of the implementation of the idea, but I am sure that "it will not be worse." Local residents said that they perceive this action as pressure on power and hope that officials would pay attention to them.

The head of the Yuryevsky rural settlement, to which the village of Duvanovka belongs, Vladimir Tabachnikov told reporters that he opposed this idea. "Russia is not in the best position," and "it is important to maintain its integrity," he believes.

People are also unhappy that they were forbidden to go for products to neighboring Kazakhstan. Previously, neighbors from Russia and Kazakhstan calmly went to visit each other, now there is no such opportunity.
