1883 Semyon Budyonny was born

135 years ago, on April 25, 1883, Soviet Marshal Semyon Budyonny, commander of the First Cavalry Army, was born. In 1937, he was a member of the court that sentenced to death eight military leaders, led by Mikhail Tukhachevsky, in a fabricated case of a "fascist military conspiracy."

Contrary to popular belief, Budyonny hated his colleague in the First Horse Voroshilov.
