The Staropromyslovsky Court of Grozny extended the arrest of Oyub Titiev, the head of the local branch of the HRC Memorial, for a month.
This was reported in the telegram channel of "Memorial". The arrest has been extended until June 9. The court rejected the motion to postpone the court session filed by Titiev's defenders. Lawyer Marina Dubrovina said that the hall was full, despite the "intrigues of ill-wishers," according to the organization's Telegram.
Earlier it became known that a court hearing to extend the arrest and bring charges against the head of the Grozny branch of Memorial was scheduled for April 25 - the lawyers of the human rights activist were not warned about this in advance and were in Moscow. The meeting was announced 10 minutes before the press conference of Titiev's defenders in the capital.
