The Tver court arrested a protest participant near an Armenian temple

The Tverskoy District Court arrested Marzpet Manukyan, a participant in the action at the Armenian temple on April 22, until May 24. Interfax reports this with reference to the press service of the court.

Manukyan is suspected under Article 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism). He is one of those detained on April 22 at the Armenian temple complex in Moscow.

Earlier it was reported that two people detained near the temple became defendants in the criminal case.

In total, the police detained several dozen people. The Caucasian Knot reported 40 detainees. The administrator of the “Association of Armenian Youth of Moscow” page on Facebook, David Tonoyan, published a message on his personal page on the social network that he was detained. In the comments, he wrote that there were twenty people in the paddy wagon with him. Later, Tonoyan reported that most of the detainees were released with protocols under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code (violation of the procedure for holding a public event).
On April 23 and 24, the Meshchansky Court received 46 administrative cases concerning the legislation on rallies. Eight of them are cases of participants in the action against blocking telegram under Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organizing a simultaneous mass presence of people in a public place that violated public order). The remaining 38 are three cases under Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code (disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer), three under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and 32 - under Part 6.1 of Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offences.
The Caucasian Knot reported on April 24, citing lawyer Ruben Kirakosyan, that after the protest near the temple, two of his clients were charged with assault on a police officer. According to the latest data, 29 detainees were fined 20 thousand rubles under Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences, three were sentenced to 40 hours of compulsory labor on the same charge, four were fined one thousand rubles under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences, Interfax reports with reference to the press service Meshchansky Court.
