The damage to Russian companies affected by mass locks from Roskomnadzor may lose billion dollars for several months.

In this amount, the damage is evaluated by the Flexbby software development company (Skolkova resident). The company has already turned to the Internet Ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev with a request to form an operational headquarters from government and business representatives to solve problems of companies affected by locks.

According to Flexbby, about 400 Russian companies that use the services of Google and Amazon cloud services were injured in total from Roskomnadzor’s actions. As a result, malfunctions began in the work of storage facilities, applications, artificial intelligence systems, geolocation, payments, work with banks, customer service and other services.

The losses of Google and Amazon were estimated at $ 940 million at the end of the year. “This is the most pessimistic scenario,” said Andrey Prokofiev, head of Flexbby.

In Roskomnadzor, they said that the assessment of damage from locks is not included in their competence.
