Under house arrest, four other defendants in the case were left - director Kirill Serebrennikov, ex -director of the Seventh Studio, Yuri Itin and director of the Russian Academic Youth Theater Sofya Apfelbaum. The court asked the ministry of culture to leave the defendants the previous measure of restraint.

Another person involved in the case, the successor of Less Brodsky as the general producer Ekaterina Voronova, disappeared abroad and is on the wanted list.

The former chief accountant of the Seventh Studio Nina Maslyaeva, whose case was allocated in a separate production, is also placed under house arrest.

Malobrodsky has been in custody since June 2017. At the end of March, he was transferred from the SIZO-1 "sailor silence" to the Beda-4 "Bear". All defendants in the case were charged with part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale), which provides for up to 10 years in the colony. However, according to investigators, Serebrennikov gave other defendants an indication of overstating data on the quantity and cost of events. The funds transferred under these agreements were allegedly cashed and distributed by Serebrennikov between the defendants.
