A sensation took place in the DPRK today - for the first time they officially announced that Pyongyang seems to have been striving for the nuclear status of the Korean peninsula. These words in the statement of the official news agency TST, I think, were forced to strain many North Korean apparatchists - after all, the country's official propaganda continuously sang nuclear weapons as a symbol of sovereignty, giant power and incredible achievements of the country of Chuchhe. At the demonstrations, pioneers and Komsomol members dragged mock -ups of nuclear missiles, and awkwardly made videos in which they turned Washington into the ruins, caused hysterical applause of the nomenclature at official concerts.
However, now, it seems, the course has changed, and this happened after the Pyongyang ruler Kim Jong-un under the lenses of excited operators, the Pyongyang ruler stepped over in his wide black pants and a party-moced-jacket through a low concrete barrier, an picture of 38 parallels dividing the Korean peninsula into Stalinist North and capitalist north and capitalist South.
Then he also dragged the nearby president of South Korea Moon Jae in a little to his territory of the DPRK.
All this, of course, was supposed to become a symbol of the new era of historical reconciliation, and what the devil does not joke, also the unification of the divided people.
The meeting of the two leaders for the first time in history took place in South Korea, but, however, at all at an insignificant distance from the DPRK, in the village for negotiations on a demilitarized zone, stuffed with mines and antipersophage traps. However, Kim Jong -un showed some courage - at previous meetings of this kind, the leaders of South Korea always flew to Pyongyang.
According to the results of the meeting, a joint document was published, which refers to the readiness of the parties for complete “denuclearization” in order to build a completely nuclearless Korean peninsula. The words are excellent, but completely devoid of specifics. At the meeting, Kim Jong -un did not say a word that he, for example, was ready to destroy his nuclear missiles and eliminate the plants for their production under the control of the relevant UN body. By the way, his father made similar promises in the past years, with him even a picture of the only nuclear reactor in the country, imitating zeal in the abandonment of nuclear weapons. And they always violated their obligations, drove the Americans by the nose, winning the precious time to continue the nuclear missile program.
On the other hand, the words about a nuclear peninsula mean that Pyongyang will require guarantees of the non -replacement of the US nuclear weapon in South Korea and, possibly, in neighboring Japan (now it is not there). The question will arise about the correction of Washington’s military agreements with Seoul and Tokyo, which they, of course, will not go easily. In short, a huge field for casoustics, disputes with zero result and tightening negotiations have been created.
On April 28, Pyongyang also announced that the North and South intend to proclaim, finally, the end of the Korean War of 1950-53. And to replace the current agreement on the ceasefire with this peace treaty.
The fact is that the war, as it were, continues now 65 years after the real end of the shooting. Pyongyang always wanted a peace treaty with the States, he considers this a means to legalize.
What pleasantly means diplomatic relations, the abolition of sanctions, investments. According to the results of the summit, the application in the demilitarized zone says the need for multi -line negotiations on a peace treaty. With the participation of the United States and, possibly, China. Which, of course, really wants to take part in this cunning process.
But the peace treaty, as is presented in Seoul and Tokyo, can only be a reward for refusing nuclear weapons. In the meantime, it seems that Comrade Kim will strive to recognize the DPRK as a moderate and reasonable nuclear power. Where missiles with uranium or plutonium filling will guarantee the safety of its regime. This, of course, creates the main obstacle to negotiations - swallowing such a condition will not be easy.
However, some clarity will arise only at the meeting of Kim Jong-un with US President Donald Trump somewhere in early June. It is clear that it was Washington who forced China to join the policy of cruel economic sanctions, which put the DPRK before the threat of complete economic collapse. Trump threatened and really cut it in North Korea - they seemed to believe him in Pyongyang.
