The President of TNK-BP American Bob Dudley in 2008 left his post and left Moscow after poisoning. It is reported by The Telegraph with reference to the former employee of the company Ilya Zaslavsky.

According to Zaslavsky, the Russian authorities sought Dudley’s dismissal, but he was "stubborn." “He thought that he could lead TNK -BP because the law is on his side,” the interlocutor of the newspaper explained.

As a result, Dudley began to pour some slowly acting poison into food for several weeks. The businessman began health problems. “I don’t know what symptoms were there, but they were serious enough for Dudley to feel concern,” Zaslavsky remarked. “Tests were carried out in the UK that confirmed that poisoning occurred in Russia.”

As the interlocutor of the newspaper suggested, the goal of the poisoners was not to kill, namely, to intimidate Dudley.

As a result, the American resigned. At the same time, according to Zaslavsky, after leaving Moscow, Dudley did not settled in London, where the BP office is located, but in a “secret place in Europe”.

Initially, the interlocutor of the newspaper added, he skeptically perceived rumors about the poisoning of the top manager. However, in 2016, the former adviser Dudley confirmed to Zaslavsky that the President of TNK-BP was really mixed in the food of the poison. At the same time, the former adviser did not exclude that one of the office employees was the poisoner, Zaslavsky said.

In the BP itself, the publication was noticed: "A certain pressure was on us. But no one will ever comment on such statements about poisoning."

It was officially reported that Dudley left the post of President TNK-BP at the request of Russian shareholders who accused the top manager of acting in the interests of the British side. After the American resignation, approximately 150 foreign employees had problems with working permits in Russia. Dudley himself explained this with intended mistakes in the paperwork.

Since 2010, the American has been the general director of BP. In 2013, BP exchanged 50 percent of TNK-BP for Rosneft 50 percent. Now the British company owns 19.75 percent of Rosneft; Dudley himself is a member of the board of directors of the Russian state -owned company.

Zaslavsky was an employee of the Department of Regulation and Legal issues of TNK-BP-Management. In 2009, the Tver District Court of Moscow sentenced the lawyer to a conditional time on charges of illegal collection of information constituting the commercial secret of Gazprom.
