In Promsvyazbank, the possibility of classifying the personal composition of leading structures is considered in order to protect top managers from possible sanctions. Such information is reported by Kommersant with reference to two sources close to the bank.
Both interlocutors of the publication, however, noticed that the final decision on this issue in the leadership of the PSB has not yet been made.
The legal basis for classifying the composition of the leadership is amended by the law "On Banks and Banking", adopted at the end of last year. The government has received the authority to "determine cases in which credit organizations have the right not to disclose information" to be disclosed in accordance with this law. If the PSB nevertheless decides to classify its top managers, he will have to apply to the government with a request to issue an appropriate resolution.
Since 1995, PSB belonged to the brothers Dmitry and Alexei Ananyev. In mid-December 2017, the Central Bank announced the reorganization of this structure. The next month, it became known that PSB would be transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency and turninto a support bank of the military-industrial complex . Now, the newspaper notes, negotiations are underway to transfer assets related to state defense order to this bank.
At the end of April, Peter Fradkov, the son of the former prime minister and ex-director of the foreign intelligence service Mikhail Fradkov, was appointed the head of the Provisional Administration of the PSB. In an interview with Kommersant, Fradkov Jr. assured that he was not afraid of personal sanctions and did not consider the issue of freedom of movement. Regarding the composition of the reign, he noticed that it will include "mainly new people."
