Moscow's Basmanny Court has left Rosnano 's managing director for investment activities, Andrei Gorkov, in custody until June 9, the court's press service told Interfax.

Gorkov is accused of abuse of power (Part 2 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to investigators, the top manager placed between 460 million and 740 million rubles of Rusnano funds in Smolensky Bank under the guise of settlement and cash services between 2011 and 2013. Investigators believe that the real purpose of placing the funds was to finance the bank's activities.

Due to the revocation of Smolensky's license, Rusnano lost more than 738 million rubles, and this damage is attributed to Gorkov. The prosecution notes that assets were withdrawn from the bank in favor of Gorkov's brother on the eve of the license revocation, namely real estate worth 400 million rubles.

Rusnano believes that Gorkov's arrest is unfounded. The top manager has been in custody since June 2017. Earlier, the court imposed a security seizure on his bank accounts, which contained more than 400,000 rubles.
