Throughout their lives, they worked on a collective farm for the sake of a bright future, and now, when they practically cannot walk, it's time to help us
We help the custody of help- I was a big hunter to take a walk. The guys and I took balalaiki, harmonica and walked through the field, through the forest. Either in one village is neighboring, then in the other. While you turn back and forth-this is how the day will pass. And now wherever I, as soon as I get up from the bed, the legs are not at all, ”Pyotr Timofeevich sighs.
- Why are you chatting and chatting everything incessantly, like a start. Let people also ask a question, ”Valentina Ivanovna grumbles with a playfully. She hardly analyzes what her husband actually chatting there, so that her grandmother would hear, have to talk very loudly and tilt exactly to the ear itself.
Peter Timofeevich is from the small village of Pavlovka, the Tambov region. The Germans did not reach there. Petya, then a teenager, helped in the rear as he could - mowed grass, threshed grain, wiped cattle and carried bread from the district center. Everyone ate hunger in the villages - sometimes for weeks I had to eat the same grass, recalls Peter Timofeevich. His relatives died of illness and malnutrition during or immediately after the war. And the 17-year-old guy in 1947 decided to go to work to the north.
Peter Timofeevich photo: Kristina Syrchikova for TDHe got a job at the forested in the Arkhangelsk region. There, Valentine noted him. The girl was impressed by how such a young flimsy guy, along with the elders, fells on centuries -old pines and saws wood for hours. Her hard work did not scare her hard work - she also helped all the war on logging.
Young people got married in Arkhangelsk and returned to the Tambov region. All their lives worked on the collective farm. Replaced a dozen specialties - from movers to milkmaids. They lived in a small village of Sosnovka for several hundred inhabitants - if someone knows about him, then only from the book of the underground writer Alexei Shepelev.
They raised eight children who went where - to Petersburg, Moscow, Voronezh. Two died in the 90s, the rest of the parents practically do not visit. “They have their own lives, families, wives, children, why they are an old grandmother,” Valentina Ivanovna sighs and furtively wipes her tears.
They do not complain, the pension of Peter Timofeevich and Valentina Ivanovna for two are rather big - more than 40 thousand. A bunch of letters, even congratulations came from the president-as veterans-tenants. But will all these pieces of paper help to scatter meter snowdrifts in front of the entrance to the house, get to the purge to the store for groceries, melt the stove and strip firewood? Here, the roof was still spent completely - and in the village there was no one to pay to be repaired.
Valentina Ivanovna photo: Kristina Syrchikova for TDIn recent years, it has become very difficult - in winter, the old people did not leave home for weeks. Pyotr Timofeevich, who used to easily pass 20-30 kilometers to neighboring villages, hardly endures his life locked up.
Six months ago, he completely handed over, his legs were very sick, he was taken to the Tambov hospital. While lying 10 days, I realized that he could no longer return home - there is no strength. And then the cousin told him: ask the head of the village council, he will come up with something.
And the head of Sosnovka responded - he suggested that Peter Timofeevich and Valentina Ivanovna send to the nursing department immediately, in his native village. Now they live here constantly, in their own double room. They took almost nothing with them - only weighty bags with diplomas and awards that demonstrate to everyone with pride.
They feed Petra Timofeevich and Valentina Ivanovna three times a day, regularly check the state of health and, if necessary, is taken to the hospital. Pyotr Timofeevich is only offended that he is not allowed to walk into the forest - they are afraid, no matter what happened.

Once in Sosnovka there was a full-fledged district hospital-five nurses and five nurse, but every year funding was cut, the rates were reduced. Now there is only one nurse, a manager, four nurse and the head of the department.
In 2015, the local Ministry of Health put up the department for auction, and the Tambov autonomous non -profit organization “Ochika” won the right to its full maintenance. For two years, the “guardianship” did in the building, which is already almost a hundred years old, everything that she could - instead of heating with coal spent the gas, partially repaired the corridor, insulated the walls, changed part of the beds.
In the department there are elderly or without care of loved ones, residents of the Mordovian and other regions of the Tambov region - former employees of state farms and collective farms. Some doctors are directed here, the heads of rural administrations offer others.
“Guardians” helps wards in everything: it gives out products, personal hygiene products, clothes and essential things, pays for the work of orderlies and nurses. Only the factory receives a half -time from the budget.
Valentina Ivanovna and Pyotr Timofeevich peek out of his room to see who came to the photo department: Kristina Syrechikova for TDThere is still a lot of work in the department, says Nina Chebotareva, deputy director of the “guardianship” for Fandraizing. It is necessary to equip a new toilet, change all communications, rebuild the dining room, stretch the gas from the boiler to the kitchen. Better yet, make a major overhaul and completely update the building.
There will not be enough of their strengths of a small regional organization for this. Partially the maintenance of the department is covered by private sponsors of the Tambov region and the wards themselves at the expense of pensions, but there are not enough these funds for capital investments. Pyotr Timofeevich and Valentina Ivanovna had a hard life, let's make them spend the last years in warmth and comfort, even if relatives forgot about them.
