SBU expelled Channel One and VGTRK from the country

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained and deported to Russia and Kazakhstani journalists of the Rossiya television channel (VGTRK) and Channel One Valentina Soloviev and Olga Yuryeva. On Wednesday, May 9, the press service of the department reports .

"Employees of the Ukrainian Security Service found that special correspondents of the Russian Channel One and Russia" Russia "were sent to Kyiv to prepare tendentious stories about the celebration of the day of victory over Nazism in World War II," the message says.

"It was planned to use video materials to discredit Ukraine to the world community and disseminate misinformation among the population," the SBU noted.

The SBU accused correspondents of propaganda activities and harm the country's national security. According to the agency, Solovyova was sent to Russia, and Yuryev to Kazakhstan. Both for three years are prohibited from entering the territory of Ukraine.
