Media: Telegram tests the first service for blockchain platforms

Telegram created the first service for its future Ton blockchain platform (Telegram Open Network). This was reported by Vedomosti with reference to sources. According to the publication, now the Telegram Passport service is being tested closed.

Vedomosti notes that the new service will identify the identity of the Telegram user. It is claimed that all the necessary documents and data will need to be loaded to the messenger once. Then they can be instantly transmitted through Telegram by partner services and use their services-both inside Telegram and on the main sites of services.

According to one of the interlocutors of the newspaper, the new service can earn by the beginning of summer.

The fact that Telegram intends to create a Ton blockchain platform has become known in January. In this project, the messenger attracted $ 1.7 billion from investors. A cryptocurrency called Gram will apply inside Ton. It will become the main currency of the internal economy Telegram, resemble Vedomosti.

Since April 16, according to the decision of the Telegram court, they have been blocked in Russia for refusing to provide the FSB with user encryption keys. Later, the RBC newspaper reported that the current reason for blocking Telegram in Russia may be the plans of its owner Pavel Durov to launch the GRAM cryptocurrency based on the messenger.
