2. “Adults traveled to Tikhvin, from there and brought the news to the village that the war had begun. I put on a portup right away. We then did not understand how terrible war was. ”
“We were called fists, we had everything. When the war began, we killed all the living creatures and fed the soldiers. It’s better to let ours eat than the Germans will get. ”
“The elder brother was killed on the first day of the war on the Polish border. Officially, he went missing, but for the missing benefits were not given. The middle brother, Nikolai, died on the Nevsky Piglet in 1942. Father was missing too. ”
“When they began to starve, the secretary of the village council took me to her, so that my mother and sister become easier. I lived in a neighboring village, studied at school and on a mortar. ”
“When we were taken to the war, my mother grabbed the truck, but could not resist and fell, he drove her leg. Then I already found out that everything was in order with my foot. But this case sunk into my soul. ”
“Once the Germans went to us, I ran away from the mortar and rushed along with everyone“ for the homeland, for Stalin ”. The foreman then hit me on the back of my head so that I fell into the trench. By this he saved my life. ”
“I remember that five kilometers had to go behind food. Once we went together, loaded. I took it that it was easier - vodka, because I was a freezer, and a bayanist porridge. We are already approaching our own, and they laugh, they say - well, you are cowards, have been done. The Bayanist was breaking through a fragment of the iron backpack, and the porridge slowly flowed from behind the trousers "
“I was a mortar. We had to shoot several times, then run to another place or in shelter, once I did not have time. The Germans threw the thermal shell, and I was injured. The fragment fell into the head, I got burns all over my body. Thus, in the war I spent only a month and a half. ”
“The school was fed well, they gave oil and sugar. They threw away my windings and gave shape. I wore bread for people - they came to the school, stood behind the wire, waited for us to share food. ”
“I think Finns, the Norwegians and the Swedes are much polite us. When I served in the KGB, we went to civilian clothes, so the young place was always inferior to me. And now I go with a wand, and the place is rarely inferior in the subway, everyone is digging in phones. It can be insulting. But there are those who help. I recently broke my leg, so young people ran up, called me an ambulance. ”
